‘Bring out the 5 kings’] vs 24 ‘Joshua told the captains of the army to put their feet on the kings necks’
2) HEARING [king]. As with the eye/sight gate, this one also is a choice! We choose to listen to what we hear or want to hear, ie, what kind of music, what kind of teachings or philosophies! What people say, what the devil say’s and most of all what God say’s!
If someone brings us a choice piece of tasty gossip, we can choose not to listen or choose to listen. If there is bad news on the TV or radio, we can get fearful or trust that God is still in control! I had a great time in Psalm 29 this morning, here’s a choice snippet, but after I have done all the sixth sense study, I will do a meditation on Psalm 29, it is awesome!
Psm 29:3-5. The voice of the Lord echoes above the roaring, raging sea. The voice of the Lord is powerful and mighty, The voice of the Lord is full of Majesty awe and wonder. The voice of the Lord twists and splits the mighty oaks and cedars. [my paraphrase] You see, the sea makes a heck of a racket when it is raging, and biblically, the sea symbolises the nations and peoples of the world. But not only can God’s voice be heard above the commotion, it echoes or resounds or reverberates, which means if you miss it the first time round, you can catch it the 2nd time around! If we are not hearing God’s voice, could be we’re opening the ear gate to other stuff rather than the voice of the Lord! Again, our choice. I’ll pick up on this a bit more next time
PRAYER. Mighty God and King, Creator of all things. Your voice, power, majesty and rule are above and over all things. Help me this day to open my ear gate wide to you and help me to filter out the useless clamour and turmoil of this worlds noise. In Jesus’ name Amen.
