I’M STARTING WITH THE MAN IN THE MIRROR
14 When I think of all this, I fall to my knees and pray to the Father, 15 the Creator of everything in heaven and on earth. 16 I pray that from his glorious, unlimited resources he will empower you with inner strength through his Spirit. 17 Then Christ will make his home in your hearts as you trust in him. Your roots will grow down into God’s love and keep you strong. 18 And may you have the power to understand, as all God’s people should, how wide, how long, how high, and how deep his love is. 19 May you experience the love of Christ, though it is too great to understand fully. Then you will be made complete with all the fullness of life and power that comes from God.
20 Now all glory to God, who is able, through his mighty power at work within us, to accomplish infinitely more than we might ask or think. 21 Glory to him in the church and in Christ Jesus through all generations forever and ever! Amen.
Had an awesome morning at Gateway Christian Centre today, the presence of God was rich and tangible! There was so much going on but one thought struck home! One of our leaders, ‘Paul’ wanted to share a thought which related to the theme of the service, but time wouldn’t allow, but this was the gist of it, ‘the Bible says we look into a mirror darkly and as we look in to a natural mirror trying to love the person in the mirror whom we see, looking out of the mirror from the other side at us is Jesus who sees us completely and loves us completely despite our faults, failings and flaws!’
That is so wonderful. No matter how high we may climb, how low we may fall, how far away from God we may run or how close to Him we may get, He loves us just the same!
Gracious Father God. I thank you that you don’t see me as I may see myself. I thank you that you love me with an everlasting love and there’s nothing about me that takes you by surprise! Thank you for loving me just as I am. Amen
