“For there is hope for a tree—if it’s cut down, it sprouts again and grows tender, new branches. Though its roots have grown old in the earth, and its stump decays, it may sprout and bud again at the touch of water, like a new seedling. Job 14:7-9
I remember many years ago watching a documentary about a certain desert in Africa. It was dead to say the least. The camera crew were there with the documentary team to see what transpired when the rains came. If I remember right it rained for a couple of consecutive days per year. When the rains came they sped the time lapse up on the cameras and produced some amazing footage. Within hours of the rain, plants began to spring up out of the ground and within a day or so were in full flower and the air was buzzing with all kids of life. The flower heads died and shed their seed. The sun burned hostile again, the air became still again and all the flora perished and died leaving a barren wilderness again until the rains returned 12 months hence.
There is always hope, no matter what the situation nor barren or hostile. When God sends rains of refreshing and revival upon us, our lives will flourish once more! Listen to this promise in Zechariah 10:1 Ask rain from the LORD in the season of the spring rain, from the LORD who makes the storm clouds, and he will give them showers of rain, to everyone the vegetation in the field.
It’s quite simple. You ask and God answers! He wants His people, His Church to flourish not flounder! To increase, not decrease. To be the head not the tail, the top not at the bottom. We may appear as that desert in Africa, but in the words of Elijah, Elijah said “Go for there is a sound of the rushing of rain.” God hasn’t finished with us yet. And despite the doomsayers, Christ is not returning to rescue a helpless, dishevelled, dirty and distressed Bride. She’s going to be beautiful and glorious, holy and victorious. So, don’t despair, THERE’S A STORM ON THE HORIZON THE PROMISES OF RAIN GOD SEND US REVIVAL AWAKE YOUR CHURCH AGAIN.
LET IT RAIN LET IT RAIN OPEN THE FLOODGATES OF HEAVEN LET IT RAIN . [Michael W Smith] Make this your earnest prayer today.
