So, I will continue to look at the end-times, the rapture of the Church and the wrath to come.
It appears to me that this is a subject many Christians want to avoid, especially the partial preterists who are convinced that the tribulation period concluded in AD 70! Let us look at some more NT verses regards the wrath of God.
The Bible is very clear that God will pour out His wrath upon the godless Christ rejecters and evil sinners. BUT I hear people say, I thought God was a loving God? Why would He pour out His wrath upon the godless? Well firstly God is love, and He so loved people that He sent His Son Christ Jesus to die for them all. Yet it remains a choice! “SO THAT” all who believe in Christ shall not perish, but have everlasting life. See, there’s the choice! it was God’s will to make a way of escape from the wrath to come! He doesn’t want this, but He has to judge sin and godlessness! But we have to make the choice to enter into God’s way of salvation just as Noah and his family entered the ark! Anyone and everyone could have joined them, but they chose to scoff and mock until it was too late and the rains came, God shut and sealed the door and the rest of humanity perished. But secondly, He is a God of justice and He has to act justly. In His mercy He has made a way of escape as the wrath to come is a consequence of ever increasing wickedness, sin and evil! Through Noah’s ark He made a way of escape! Through Abraham’s and Lot’s faith He held back His wrath upon the evil and foul deeds of the inhabitants of Sodom and Gomorrah to allow an escape for those who chose it! Through Christ’s death, resurrection and ascension He’s made a way of escape through the rapture. But to be part of that rapture, you have to be IN Christ and to be in Christ you have to turn away from your sin and put your faith and trust in the Lord Jesus Christ, then follow Him. Have you done that yet? If not please do so and flee the wrath to come! once the door is shut there is no way of escaping it. It is a righteous judgement of God! It is no good thinking you’re good enough to escape. None of us are! It’s through the righteousness, goodness and mercy of Christ that we have a way out.
If you want to invite Jesus Christ into your heart, then pray this prayer.
Salvation is as easy as A.B.C. Even though it was terrible and not so easy for Christ the Messiah. So:
[A] Acknowledge you are a sinner! Why deny the obvious? We all have sinned and have fallen short of the glory of God. Then Accept Jesus Christ into your heart by faith!
[B] Believe in your heart that Jesus Christ is Saviour and Lord, then invite Him into your life as Lord and Saviour. ‘To all who received Him, to those who believed in His name He gave the the legal right to become the adopted children of God’. John 1:12 [expanded]
[C] Commit your life to Him. Follow Him. Pray to Him. Read the word of God [the Bible] and then find a lively Bible believing, Christ preaching Church and serve the Lord till He returns for us to take us home.
